Summary

This project focuses on serious and organised wildlife crime between WCA and SEA and would benefit national agencies responsible for tackling serious, organised crime by addressing deficiencies in legislation, intelligence, transnational cooperation, and prosecutions. Activities would aim to a) Deter offending by increasing the likelihood of detection and applying penalties drawing upon ’proceeds of crime’ legislation; and b) Disrupt criminal networks by supporting investigations, prosecutions, exchanging intelligence, and incapacitating offenders by restricting their access to finances and travel.
