In March 2025, we are hosting three events as part of the Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) Challenge Fund Stage 2 workshops, for Round 11 successful applicants that were invited through to Stage 2.

Webinar – Frequently Asked Questions

On Thursday 6 March, we hosted a webinar for applicants under Round 11 of the IWT Challenge Fund that were invited through to Stage 2. This webinar introduced Stage 2 applicants to some of the frequently asked questions and common issues relating to eligibility, finance, Flexi-Grant, communications, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and safeguarding requirements.

Webinar - IWT Challenge Fund Advisory Group: What makes a good application?

On Monday 10 March, we hosted a presentation with Mary Rice from the IWT Challenge Fund Advisory Group. This session provided applicants with an insight into what the expert committee looks for in an application through outlining the main assessment processes and providing tips on how to improve or strengthen Stage 2 applications.

Workshop – Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning 

On Tuesday 11 March, we hosted an interactive Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) workshop for Stage 2 applicants. This session focused on MEL, logframes and Standard Indicators. It involved some presentations combined with interactive practical sessions to applicants in writing Stage 2 applications. It covered the use of project design tools and methods to ensure that logframe are as robust as possible through the inclusion of “SMART” indicators and appropriate means of verification.
