Summary
The project addresses corruption and money laundering in the wildlife and forestry sectors in Malawi by supporting the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, the Department of Forestry and the Anti-Corruption Bureau in their law enforcement and corruption prevention efforts. On the enforcement side, this means bolstering nascent casework and financial investigation capacities, including with tools to track case progress. On the prevention side, this means empowering Institutional Integrity Committees and internal auditors to
reduce corruption vulnerabilities in environmental agencies.
