Stage 2 Webinar and Workshop, October 2020 (Archived)

In October 2020, four events were hosted as part of the Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT) Challenge Fund Stage 2 workshop, for Round 7 applicants that had been successfully invited through to Stage 2.

For the first time, because of the international Covid-19 situation, all events were held online. There were three different types of event, with the interactive M&E workshop sessions being held twice (once in the UK morning and once in the UK afternoon) to account for time differences of applicants.

Webinar - Frequently asked questions and common issues

On 29th October, we hosted a webinar for applicants under Round 7 of the IWT Challenge Fund that were invited through to Stage 2. This webinar introduced Stage 2 applicants to some of the frequently asked questions and common issues relating to eligibility, finance, Flexi-Grant, gender and safeguarding requirements.

Workshop Session - Project design tools and importance of good evidence and indicators

On 29th October (both in the UK morning and afternoon), we hosted an interactive workshop for Stage 2 applicants. This two-part session aimed to cover the use of project design tools and methods to ensure that applicants logframes were as robust as possible through the inclusion of “SMART” indicators and appropriate means of verification.

Illegal Wildlife Trade Advisory Group presentation: What makes a good application

On 30th October, the IWT Challenge Fund hosted a presentation with guest speaker Justin Gosling from the IWT Challenge Fund Advisory Group. This session provided applicants with an insight into what the advisory group looks for in an application through outlining the main assessment processes and providing tips on how to improve or strengthen Stage 2 applications.
