Summary
The project will assess the impact of trade on falcon and golden eagle populations in Central Asia. This will be achieved through targeted monitoring of falcon populations and data gathering on international trade chains and local use of raptors. Policies and regulatory mechanisms related to raptors’ trade will be analysed. This evidence will inform conservation strategies, community engagement, proactive enforcement responses andsupport regional implementation of international conventions, the Saker Falcon Global Action Plan and the
Raptors Memorandum of Understanding.
